This sub-fonds includes all the published materials (books, newspaper cuttings and printed ephemera) which Charles gathered over the years, as well as slides which he took or purchased. As well as being heavily annotated and marked with post-it notes, the books also contain news cuttings, manuscript notes, correspondence, contracts and other documents. They are therefore an integral part of the archive.
